Why?

Bushcare’s Major Day Out is a national day designed to encourage us all to take part in the restoration and maintenance of our remaining bushland.

In 2014, Bushcare’s Major Day Out will be held on Sunday September 7th in Landcare Week, and will be part of Landcare Australia’s 25th anniversary celebrations, at city and country locations across Australia.

Bushcare’s Major Day Out is a day specifically designed to give of us the opportunity to find out what is being done and what can be done in our own neighbourhood. It’s a fun day where anyone, young and old can work alongside and learn from experts and experienced volunteers. There are a range of activities depending on the location.

Here we’ll be dealing with weeds and doing some planting. We’ll provide tea, coffee and morning tea. We’ll even encourage you to take home some great cordyline specimens!

Here’s our Bushcare’s Major Day Out link.

We hope to see you there!
